VIOLIN by Wang Zhiguo - Guarneri Del Gesu "Cannone" 1743 - #W16 (2025)

This master made violin is from the workshop of master violin maker Wang Zhiguo. It is a model of the famous Guarneri Del Gesu "Il Cannone" of 1743. This instrument was constructed from tone-woods that have been naturally seasoned for 20 years. It has a stunning 1-piece back of highly flamed Bosnian maple with matching ribs and scroll. The top is made of narrow grained European spruce and it has been finished with a beautiful hand applied dark brown oil varnish. Much like Paganini's "Il Cannone' this violin offers a bold, powerful, and balanced tone which is quite suitable for solosit performances. It has been setup in our shop with the optimal string height, a Despiau bridge, a Hill style E string tuner and Pirastro Perpetual violin strings. This particular violin has high quality rosewood fittings with natural boxwood trim. This is a great choice for the advancing student or professional player.
