Old 1913 Root-Duerer Violin (#1623) - Great Condition!

This is an old 1913 Root-Duerer violin (#1623) for sale. This old violin has a very nice 1-piece back. The varnish is typical of these RD violins in a dark dark red/brown color. The purfling is inlaid very close to the edges as is also typical of these violins. Overall the condition is good but it does have an old saddle crack on the top (treble side) which was well repaired and properly cleated (not a sound post crack). The peg holes have also been bushed at one time. It is stamped "MADE IN GERMANY" just below the end pin and the back of the scroll is beautifully carved and bears the letters "RD". It is correctly labeled and is ready for shipping. Includes a light-weight oblong case.
