This instrument was constructed from tone-woods that have been naturally seasoned for 10 years. It has a beautiful 1-piece back of highly flamed maple with matching ribs and scroll. The top is made of narrow grained spruce and it has been finished with a hand applied red-brown spirit varnish. This model is based on a Stradivari pattern so the instrument offers a bold, powerful, and balanced tone which is quite suitable for acoustic mariachi ensemble performances. It has been setup in our shop specifically for mariachi music with the optimal string height, a German bridge, a Hill style E string tuner and Evah Pirazzi Neo strings. This particular violin has high quality boxwood fittings with natural boxwood trim. This is a great choice for the advancing mariachi student. Includes a Bobelock arrow shaped wood shell case and a hybrid violin bow.
